Bible Text: Exodus 2:11-25

Reflection & Application

Exodus 2: 11-17

  • What can I learn about Moses from the fact that he saw the Israelites as “his people” although he was raised in privilege as a son of Pharaoh’s daughter?

  • What kind of person was Moses from the way he responds to injustice?

  • Reflect on the words “he went out,” “looked on their burdens,” and “he saw.”  Are there some forms of injustice I’m refusing to see?

Exodus 2:23-25

  • How does God react to the cries of the people of Israel?

  • How does this give me comfort and strength to cry out to God?
