Exodus 7:8-13, 22-23

  • Consider the fact that Pharaoh is the one who asked for the miracle so Moses and Aaron could prove themselves, and yet when he saw it performed, he hardened his heart.

  • In what ways do I similarly harden my heart when confronted with the truth? 

Exodus 7:14-25

  • The Egyptians worshiped many river deities, and the Nile was a source and symbol of Egypt’s power and prosperity. What does this first plague show about who is the true God?

  • What are some examples of people in this world confusing the true God with the good gifts He gives us? Are there some blessings in my life that have the potential to become my idols?
