Bible Text: Exodus 10:12-20
Reflection & Application
Exodus 10:12-15
- Osiris was the Egyptian god thought to be the protector of crops. What painful truth would the Egyptians have learned through the plague of locusts, where “not a green thing remained, neither tree nor plant of the field, through all the land of Egypt”?
- Can I recall a time in my life when a “plague of locusts” exposed false gods and idols to bring me to repentance?
Exodus 10:16-20
- Notice again that Pharaoh spoke the correct words of repentance, but once God showed mercy, he did not follow through with letting the people go. What warnings do I need to heed from Pharaoh’s example?
