Bible Text: Exodus 10:21-29

Reflection & Application

Exodus 10:21-23

  • Reflect on the fact that while darkness engulfed all of Egypt, there was light where the Israelites lived.  How can I live in a manner that can shed God’s light on those who live in darkness?

Exodus 10:29

  • Although God’s total power is overwhelmingly clear by now, Pharaoh continues to assert his demands by placing conditions on the Israelites’ departure. In what ways does this reveal a typical pattern of human assertion of control before God?

  • What is so tragic about Pharaoh commanding Moses to never appear before him again?  What warning or lesson is there for me?
