Exodus 12:29-32
Notice that as Pharaoh finally sends the Israelites away after the tenth plague, he adds, “and bless me also!” What must he have realized through the ten plagues? How does this realization heighten the tragedy of Pharaoh’s prideful resistance? What lessons can I learn about the futility of resisting God’s warnings and disciplines?
Consider the far-reaching consequences of Pharaoh’s pride on the entire nation of Egypt. Who are the people that suffer because of my pride? How should this sobering reality affect me in the battle against my pride?
