Bible Text: Luke 6:20-26 (ESV)
Luke 6:20-22
Reflect on the radically countercultural definition of being blessed.
Why would these be the ones who are blessed in Jesus’ eyes, and what does this say about the values of the world system?
Luke 6:22-23
What may come to those who follow Jesus in this world?
What kind of difficulties and opposition have I faced in following Jesus, and have I been able to find some joy in it?
Consider what Jesus pronounces woes upon (i.e., curses). Why would those who experience what’s described in vv. 24-26 actually be in a state of woe?
